THE DIRECTORS met and worked together at the established Grosskopff Lombart and Huyberechts (GLH) Architectural firm in Johannesburg, South Africa. Having worked on many projects together, this team decided to strike out on their own and established Adroit Architects & Interiors. The team has been tried and tested on all scales and types of projects and are confident that their expertise will add initiative problem solving and ingenious design solutions to your projects.

Where
Based in Johannesburg, this practice is the symbiosis of high design and expert project delivery. Interested in the commercial and social development of the South African built environment, Adroit Architects & Interiors are also branching into other African countries.
DIRECTOR WISHBONE SANYIKA graduated with a diploma in Architecture from Harare Polytechnic in 2004. He worked for Chirombo Architects and Architrave Architects in Zimbabwe, where he was involved in both commercial and Government projects. Which included Barclays Bank 1st street renovations and Standard Chartered bank in Workington, Harare. Some of his government projects included the Zimbabwe School of Mines and Zimbabwe Air Force Radar stations around Zimbabwe. After moving to South Africa in 2006, Wishbone joined GLH Architects and became an Associate in 2013. He was privileged to work on and lead various commercial and residential projects, including DSTV Customer Care building, MultiChoice City and The Capital on The Park Hotel and apartments. MultiChoice City was the SAPOA (South African Property Association) award winner for Best Commercial building in 2016. Wishbone was involved in various other projects in the firm, including Botswana Accounts Academy in Gaborone. He was also the custodian of all of the MultiChoice Group Client projects.
DIRECTOR SARAH BYRNE qualified with a Masters in Architecture from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2009. She worked for GLH Architects & Associates in Johannesburg throughout her studies which were also sponsored by them. Sarah became an Associate at GLH Architects in 2014, having worked on many prestigious projects for the company. These include Standard Bank Rosebank, ABSA Towers West in Johannesburg CBD and Embassy Towers in Sandton. Embassy Towers, for which Sarah was Project Lead, won the SAPOA (South African Property Association) award for Best Residential Building in 2019. Sarah also formed part of the team that delivered the successful design bids for many buildings for GLH Architects, including Webber Wentzels in Sandton, The Capital on the Park in Sandton, the Metropolis on Park in Sandton, BP South Africa in Johannesburg and the UIF head office in Pretoria. Sarah is currently pursuing an additional project management qualification to complement her skills in design and project delivery.
DIRECTOR ROSANNE DE CASTRO is an Interior Designer and an antique furniture specialist with over 18 years' experience. She completed her higher diploma in Interior Design at the University of Johannesburg and thereafter she moved to London. Whilst working for the likes of Bernard Engle Architects and lnature Architecture & Design she gained valuable design exposure. She managed the design and roll-out out of Eat coffee shops, Early Learning Centre, T-mobile and worked on Sainsburys stores, all nationwide. After her return to South Africa, Rosanne worked at Stephen Falcke Interior Design Consultancy and was involved in the design of some of South Africa's most extraordinary residential interiors and luxury hotels. Her career expanded as she took on large commercial office and residential projects while at GLH Interiors. She managed the design and interior construction of the new home of Statistics South Africa in Salvokop and was also involved with the design and implementation of the luxury residential development of Embassy Towers in Sandton.
DIRECTOR GREG HUSTED qualified as an Architectural Technologist with a National Diploma from the University of Johannesburg in 1991. He has almost 30 years’ experience in the architectural profession and has also branched into related fields such as interior design, urban design and project management. Over the years he has worked at several prestigious Johannesburg architectural and design practices on many well-known landmark projects. He has been integrally involved in diverse projects ranging from residential and commercial to retail and leisure where he has gained valuable experience and a wide range of technical knowledge in various building systems. Some of the key clients that Greg has worked with include: Standard Bank, SAB Miller, Ster-Kinekor, Brait Bank, Vodacom, Edcon, Concor and Hollard, to name but a few. He has worked on several projects beyond the borders of South Africa in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Nigeria, Angola and the UAE. Greg has a special passion for inner city renewal and the restoration and preservation of landmark heritage buildings.
